Privacy Notice

Last updated 13 October 2026

Acquisition Toolkit is a private, invite-only internal Thinkerz system operated by Thinkerz Ltd. It is not offered as a public or commercial service.

1. Who we are

Thinkerz Ltd (company number SC778478) is responsible for personal data processed through Acquisition Toolkit where it acts as controller. Questions about this notice or data protection can be sent to hello@thinkerz.co.uk.

2. What information we process

The system may process account and access information for authorised users, including name, email address, role, invitation and authentication records, together with security and technical logs needed to operate the system.

Deal records may also contain business information and limited personal data relating to directors, shareholders, advisers, employees, counterparties or other people connected with an acquisition. This may include names, roles, contact details and information appearing in financial, due-diligence or transaction documents.

3. Where information comes from

Information is provided by authorised users, imported from internal transaction models and documents, or obtained from business records and transaction materials made available for the relevant acquisition. Acquisition Toolkit has no public account-registration process and is not offered as a commercial service.

4. How and why we use information

We use information to authenticate authorised users, maintain the underlying deal record, support financial, valuation, working-capital and funding analysis, prepare transaction analysis and outputs, administer access, protect the system, troubleshoot issues and keep appropriate operational records.

Where UK data-protection law applies, processing will generally be based on Thinkerz Ltd's legitimate interests in operating, securing and administering its internal business systems and transaction activity, and on compliance with legal obligations where relevant.

5. AI-assisted features

If an AI-assisted feature is used, selected information may be processed by third-party AI or infrastructure services to fulfil the requested task. Users remain responsible for reviewing and approving any generated text before it is adopted into a report or transaction document. The system does not make autonomous acquisition, valuation or legal decisions.

6. Who information may be shared with

Information may be processed by Base44 and other technology providers used to host, authenticate, secure and operate Acquisition Toolkit, and by professional advisers or transaction counterparties where an authorised user deliberately exports or shares a document for the relevant deal.

We do not sell personal data and the system is not used for advertising or public marketing.

7. International processing

Depending on the infrastructure used by our technology providers, personal data may be processed outside the UK. Where applicable, appropriate safeguards are used as required by data-protection law.

8. Retention

Information is retained for as long as reasonably required for the relevant transaction, internal record-keeping, legal, regulatory, security or evidential purposes. Retention may vary according to the nature and status of the deal and the information concerned.

9. Security and access

Acquisition Toolkit is invite-only and access is restricted to authorised Thinkerz users. Users must keep their credentials secure and must not share confidential transaction information outside the authorised deal team except where properly approved.

10. Cookies and local storage

The application may use strictly necessary cookies, browser storage or similar technologies for authentication, session management, security and application preferences. The public landing pages are not designed for advertising or marketing tracking. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the browser request and associated technical information. If you choose Google sign-in, Google also processes the authentication request.

11. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, individuals may have rights under UK data-protection law, including rights to be informed, access personal data, request rectification or erasure, request restriction, data portability and objection to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, consent may be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exemptions.

Requests should be sent to hello@thinkerz.co.uk. Individuals may also raise a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

12. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice where the system, our processing activities or applicable law changes. The current version will be published on this page.
